Main ingredients: Rice, Indian spices, Vegetables, Meat, Egg, Yoghurt, Dried Fruits .. sowi in omputih plaks ..aku da malas ni :-) tp tension tahap gaban ...so mmg kene buat N3 ..

Ingredients for Briyani Rice..

  • * Big Onion - 1 sliced
  • * Ginger - garlic paste - 1tbspn
  • * Bay leaf - 1
  • * Spices - Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon & Star Anise
  • * Briyani Powder - 1 tbspn (I've used Baba's)
  • * Pandan knots - 1/2
  • * Evaporated milk (IDEAL milk) - 1cup

  • Heat up pan. Add in 2 tbspn ghee & saute spices, onions, bay leaf & ginger_garlic paste.
  • * Maintain on low flame.

  • Once onions turns slightly brown, add in 1tbspn briyani powder.

  • Mix well & switch off flame.

  • I've used the normal rice_3cups. Wash & add in 1cup of evoporated milk & 3.5cups of water. Mix well & add salt. Check taste.
  • * If you're using Basmathi rice, pls follow below measurement.
  • - For 3cups of basmathi rice, wash n soak for 20mins. Then add in 1cup evoporated milk & 3cups of water.
  • - Mix well & add salt & check taste.

  • Then add in the sauted ingredients as well. Give a mix & add in pandan knots as well. Ready to cook.

  • First look once Briyani rice is cooked. Dont mix yet, you may opt to add in colours too. Keep closed for 15mins before mixing up.

*Spicy Kadai Chicken*

I'm using 1/2 kg chicken.. Marinate chicken for about 1-2 hours with below ingredients;
  • * Chilli powder - 2tbspn
  • * Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbspn
  • * Garam masala powder - 1 tbspn
  • * Cumin powder - 1tspn
  • * Black pepper powder - 1tbspn
  • * Turmeric - half tspn
  • * Coriander powder - 1tspn
  • * Squeeze in half lime
  • * Salt

  • Add little water & mix well. *I've marinated for 1.5 hours.

Other ingredients needed;

  • * Tomato - 1
  • * Big Onion - 1 sliced
  • * Spices - Bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise & cloves
  • * Green Capsicum - 1
  • * Ginger_garlic paste - 1tspn

  • Prepare other ingredients - chopped off as u wish to ...

  • Heat up pan & add oil. Then add in onions, spices & ginger garlic paste.

  • Saute well till onions turn brown.

  • Then add in tomatoes.

  • Allow tomatoes to soften. Keep stirring.

  • Start adding in chickens & mix well. Allow chicken to cook for 5-10 mins. Add in little water. Mix again & add salt. Check taste. Allow to cook 5mins more.

  • Start adding in capsicums. Mix well. Add in corriander leaves & ready to serve. Add in corriander leaves & ready to serve.  Spicy Kadai Chicken is ready!
