Chocolate ThickShake

Cooking Time

20 minutes

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 8 scoops (about 400g) vanilla ice-cream
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) basic chocolate sauce, at room temperature (see related recipe)
  • 250ml (1 cup) milk

Method

  1. Place the ice-cream, chocolate sauce and milk in a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Pour into serving glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Tip: You can heat an extra 2-3 tbs of the chocolate sauce and swirl it around the serving glass before pouring in the thickshake.


    How To Make Chocolate Sauce


    An easy recipe for chocolate sauce for desserts or ice cream.

    Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation:

In a small saucepan over low heat, heat chocolate chips and whipping cream, stirring constantly. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and sauce is smooth. Stir in vanilla.
Serve over dessert or ice cream.
Makes about 1 1/4 cups.


Cream Chocolate Mousse


What You Need

1 pkg. (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
1-1/4 cups  cold milk
1/4 cup Irish cream liqueur
2 cups  thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided
1/2 cup fresh raspberries

Make It


BEAT pudding mix, milk and liqueur in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP.
SPOON into dessert dishes. Refrigerate 20 min.
TOP with remaining COOL WHIP and berries.

One serving of this chocolate mousse goes a long way on flavor.
Non-Alcoholic Version
Omit liqueur. Prepare using 1-1/2 cups milk.

Double-Chocolate Mousse

What You Need

1-1/2 cups fat-free milk, divided
2 squares  BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1 pkg. (2.1 oz.) JELL-O Chocolate Fat Free Sugar Free Instant Pudding
2 cups  thawed COOL WHIP FREE Whipped Topping, divided
1/2 cup fresh raspberries

Make It


MICROWAVE 1 cup milk and chocolate squares in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min.; whisk until chocolate is melted. Add remaining milk and dry pudding mix; beat 2 min. Refrigerate 20 min.
WHISK in 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP; spoon into 6 dessert dishes.
TOP with remaining COOL WHIP and berries.

Makeover - How We Did It
We used fat-free milk in place of 2% milk and JELL-O Chocolate Fat Free Sugar Free Instant Pudding and COOL WHIP FREE Whipped Topping in place of the regular products. This results in a savings of 60 calories, 3.5 g of fat, and 3 g of saturated fat per serving.
Storage Know-How
Once thawed, refrigerate COOL WHIP Whipped Topping for up to 2 weeks or re-freeze.
Fresh Berry Care
Wash berries just before using. A quick, gentle rinse in cold water is all that is needed. Gently pat berries with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

Oreo MilkShake

What You Need

4 tsp. chocolate syrup
8   OREO Cookies, divided
1-1/2 cups milk
2 cups  BREYERS® All Natural Vanilla Ice Cream, softened

Make It


SPOON 1 tsp. syrup into each of 4 glasses. Roll each glass to coat bottom and inside of glass. Finely chop 4 cookies; set aside.
QUARTER remaining cookies; place in blender. Add milk and ice cream; blend until smooth.
POUR into prepared glasses; top with chopped cookies. Serve immediately.
